Lavenham Part 4

We will continue our walk around Lavenham taking in some visual treats










Coming to the outskirts of the village some modern housing is inter mingled

The Witchfinder General (1968)
The 13 Chairs (1970)
Lovejoy (a TV series in the 1990's)
Apotheosis 2 (1969)
The Canterbury Tales (1972)
Barry Lyndon (1975)
Playing Away (1986)
Spun Gold, Children of the New forest and Highway all feature Lavenham

Still lots more to come on this delightful village

What gorgeous flowers...roses (I think), hollyhocks, and lavender. I've never seen plants so vigorous here. And may I just say, that it is always fun to see Alan featured somewhere. Now if you could tuck yourself in a little more often...

The hollyhocks are right in tune with the pink/salmon color theme of many of these houses and other buildings. I enlarged all the photos and had a nice time looking through them on this post and the previous one too. Feels a bit like walking along them in person.

The seemingly slanted building..the flowers..the wrought iron gate..the colors of the buildings..the cars..the windows..THE DOORS!

Is there some significance to the color pink in the village? So many of the house are painted shades of pink.
