Hyde Hall

We visited Hyde Hall Gardens a few weeks ago.
This is somewhere we like to visit at different seasons of the year.
Hyde Hall was one time a private residence but it now belongs to The British Horticultural Society who have extended the gardens enormously.
It is only 45 minutes from home.
The first picture is of part of the library there. Every book is about gardening and plants.
The last picture is of the wild flower meadow.
I do hope you enjoy the gardens as we did.

I know that library has a lot of great information in it. The gardens are really wonderful. Wish I could have been there to go along with you. But it is so nice seeing it through your eyes. connie from Texas

Thanks for the tour. It looks like the gardens are quite extensive. I loved the thistle! My neighbor grew one like it this summer in her front garden, but recently cut it down.

Hi Barbara, it's nice to meet you. thanks for visiting my blog and leaving some messages. The photos of Hyde Hall are wonderful. Oh to have a library like that.
You asked about header photos. I always resize my image to about 850 x 250 pixels. I use Photoshop to do this.
I'm off to poke around on your blog.

You see, that's the kind of English garden I wanted here in red hot, dry as a bone, North Carolina!! It's never going to happen - like everyone else I've had to give in to native azaleas, heat seeking daylilies, sweet potato vines.....don't tell anyone I have tucked in some English flowers and they desperately need water....but the sprinkler/hose pipe detectives are canvassing the neighborhood, $200 first fine, $1000 second....and then they shut the water OFF! What's a true Brit to do when it's not her watering day? Help!!!

Wow, I stoped at the first photo and had problems going further down. All these are garden books? What a paradise.
