Wells-Next-the-Sea, Norfolk Part 1

This holiday seems a long time away now, last May in fact.

This cottage is on the edge of the car park in Wells-Next-the-Sea and dates back to 1750. It is a one up, one down (that's two rooms) and was renovated in 1935 as a museum piece.

Before we drove down to the beach we went into a pub for a very light lunch and thoroughly enjoyed our choice.

then down to the beach
I just love the wide expansions of beach on the Norfolk coast

The seals are an attraction and one can go further out on a boat and see dozens

Whilst standing here looking through the binoculars Alan lost one of his new hearing aids. We did not know until we got to The Beach Cafe (next post) and realised that it probably happened when he pulled the binoculars over his head.
We were devastated as the hearing aid cost a lot more than the cost of our week's holiday.
We searched along with someone from the Beach Cafe but how likely would it be to find on soft sand.

Lovely beach huts, they look quite Victorian.
Would your Insurance cover the hearing aid?

Beautiful location for your holiday. Is that the end of the story on the hearing aide?

Hmmm...I’m thinking a lot of prayer was going on and that with God all things are possible, soft sand or no. That’s a beautiful beach and the beach houses are so colorful and charming.

Your beach pictures are like a tonic for a cold wintry day. How terrible about the hearing aid. The sand does seem to swallow things up. Nice to have such a wonderful memory though of the beach and sunny weather.

So sorry to read of the lost hearing aid. Bad ending to a happy time. Hopefully, it had since been replaced?

So sorry about the loss of the hearing aid. Perhaps you might have found it in his shirt by now? Just hoping for you.
The photos are lovely, wish I could go there right now.

What lovely wide beaches, perfect for long walks in the sand. That's too bad about losing one hearing aid. The one up, one down house looks very interesting.

These pictures of your May holiday are very pretty. What nice memories to relive, but not the part about Alan's hearing aid.
I like the pretty coloured beach huts.
Lovely to see your post!
Audrey.

Gorgeous beach reminds me of the lovely Northumberland sands. Those beach huts are so pretty I love seeing them.

That's such a shame about the hearing aid. Were they covered by insurance? You can claim for glasses so maybe they will be covered too.

Your light lunch option looks delicious :-)

I have a feeling you have more to tell us about the hearing aid loss...
