The Green Winter Garden
The slightly Frosty Garden
No hard frosts this year
The Misty Garden
The in between garden
The Sunny Garden
The Spring Garden
and the Corkscrew Hazel
which is overwhelming me right now
I pruned it back hard last year and it is again needing a lot of attention and 'I don't know where to start!'
Back issues do not help.
How glad I am that we removed so many shrubs in the last 2 years

My neighbor has corkscrew in a pot and it is not doing very well.
As always your garden is well keep.
Nice chronicle of the garden in different seasons and light. Gardening is very hard on my back, especially weeding. I don't think I've ever seen a Corkscrew Hazel. Hope you are having a nice weekend.
The garden looks quite delightful in all circumstances, though the sun makes me want to visit and stay awhile. 🌿 I don't know what a corkscrew Hazel is, but it sounds nasty to prune. Pace yourself. A happy spring to you, Barbara.
I like all the versions of your garden, but especially the spring. And I know I will love the summer version even more!
A really lovely garden.
It's such fun to see it in all seasons. I love those corkscrew branches, but it sounds like our coral trees - constant pruning.
Beautiful.
It looks beautiful. My neice is going to study in England in the spring semester mext year. She told me it's about 20 north of London.
Wonderful! Happy Easter!
I really like the comparison pictures of your garden. Yours is one that looks nice all year long. Perhaps it is the big tree that grounds everything and then the eye goes out from there. Or maybe the shape of it also.
I'm sure that you are glad that you removed some shrubs, it saves on all the trimming which is very hard on the back.
Audrey.
