It's chilly here, too. The lilacs lasted for much longer than usual as a result. My little rose bushes have some buds, but they need some warmth. I was amazed by all the petal patterns...each one is unique and delightful!

They are gorgeous. I never realized before roses have such a diverse arrangement of their petals depending on which rose it is. I can only imagine the lovely perfume!

Your roses are really beautiful. Our weather here in Latvia is much too cool still and roses show up usually some time in July unless they're in a greenhouse.Your roses are truly inspirational.

Your roses are stunning, Barbara. We so enjoyed the garden of our friends in Finchingfield a few weeks ago. I hope it warms up soon so you can get out and enjoy the garden more.

I do love your roses. They are beautiful and you have so many to enjoy. Inside and out they surely do make a beautiful sight. I only have one rose bush here and it is full of buds right now. I can hardly wait till they open up. Hope you get some warmth there soon.

Wow Barbara, you have such a lovely array of colors in your rose garden!! They're just beautiful! England seems to have the perfect climate for growing healthy roses; here in the southern U.S., our heat and humidity is so hard on them. You're right -- they're certainly worth waiting for. :)

Your rose picture the fourth up from the bottom looks like my David Austin "Gertrude Jekyll" rose. Is that what it is by any chance? It certainly is beautiful, and I love that shade of pink. Thanks for sharing the pictures, Barbara; you're definitely an accomplished gardener. Hope you have a lovely week!

Hugs,

Denise

It would be lovely to walk in your perfumed English garden! I love your new sign saying, "Barbara's Garden."
Thank you for showing all of the different petal formations. It has opened up a whole new world for me to really "look" at each bloom more carefully.

Oh wow! The roses have truly sprung open everywhere in your garden. It's wonderful! I scrolled down and inspected the changes you have made in the back garden. It's lovely.
I hope you are now having many days of eating your lunch in the garden.

I am a few years older than you I think,

I got behind in blog reading and then we were able to go away for a few days. No internet while we were away, so now I'm catching up a bit. Your roses are gorgeous! Mine aren't doing as well this year due to our unseasonably hot temperatures so early in the season. I need to be sure they have more water and feed them often to help them through the long, hot summer ahead. In the meantime, I'll stop by and enjoy yours!
