A Much Needed Break in a Delightful B & B

I must begin by thanking everyone for their love and support and prayers as a result of our house break-in and car theft
It meant so much to us
And to those who have E-mailed asking if we are Ok
yes we are thank you

I have been away from posting and visiting as there has been so much paper work and phone calls as a result and as you will see from this post we have also been away

Rifleman Cottage

We had been due to stay here 2 days after the break-in and I am glad to say that a courtesy car was arranged and initial business dealt with in time for us to continue with our plans

I have to say that this was the best B & B we have ever stayed in

Why? you may ask
Well we did not just have a bedroom but rather a little cottage to ourselves, the only difference being that because we were catered for we did not need to have a kitchen
It was also only an hour from  home so no travel hassle

The accommodation was only a part of the delight
This cottage was owned by Pomona and her husband from Little Cottage Comforts. A couple who really know how to look after their guests and make them feel at home.
It was also fun to meet another blogger

The food which was all home cooked and mostly home grown was delicious and there was plenty of it
(Alan seen here tucking into an evening meal)
Not to mention delicious flap jacks for afternoon tea
It was a first to have breakfast apple juice pressed straight from the orchard, bacon and sausage from their own pigs, eggs from their chickens, home grown tomatoes and home made bread, not forgetting several home made jams

Hard work cultivating and taking care of six and a half acres plus the live stock

We visited, castles and gardens so there will be many photos but not for a while as I have our main holiday photos to continue with, plus another day in London  and several day trips

Go visit Pomona's cottage web page
and see just what is on offer

Looking forward to visiting and catching up with all my blogging buddies a.s.a.p

I'm glad you were able to get away after the break-in. I'm sure there is a lot of turmoil involved with that. The B & B looks lovely, quiet and peaceful.

It looks very charming, and I can't help admiring all the lovely china in the sideboard, and on the dinner table. What a special treat to be able to enjoy such excellent food and care; I hope you and Alan were able to wind down and really relax despite all the problems at home.

The B & B is...well..GOD takes care doesn't he ..even in the midst of Trials!

This is so wonderful..with the cupboard in the sitting area full of teacups and dishes..so quaint.

oh and the coziness of it all is so inviting!

I think you were BLESSED and I'm so happy for you at such a time.

So glad you had a wonderful mini-holiday with splendid food.
My grandparents lived in Faversham when I was a child.
I will go to Pomona's blog.
