This got me to thinking of the many homes that I have stayed in over the years here in England, Europe and the USA. As it happens I am at present going through my old photo albums in order to compile a slideshow to present at our upcoming 50th wedding anniversary, so thought it would make a fun post to show some of the homes of friends that I have stayed in in America.
How I would love to show you inside some of these beautiful homes but would not dream of invading the owners privacy.

As Ohio is my home state I was interested to hear you have an Ohio visitor. You have visited many places in our US. How nice to travel like that. I usually stay close to home and have only gone out of state a few times to visit my children when they have lived in other states. Lovely homes you have pictured today by the way.
When like you God took me up in a plane when i said i would never go, i stayed for 2 nights in a lovely log cabin in Florida. From there on in though it was a week on the floor of a church annex, but i had a great time though. The homes you stayed in look lovely.

Yes, in the East and South sections of the US, the grounds and houses are often really large. You traveled in many beautiful part of our country.
I am still hopeful that you will visit California! Our homes and gardens are smaller but our welcome will be just as warm!
How fun it is to have taken photos of all the different homes you have stayed in over the years. Yes, home is where your hat is hung.
Amazing how many homes you have visited. And what fun to have these photos for the memories. When is your anniversary? And the celebration? What fun to anticipate the people who will honor your years together and how precious are the memories of all who have known you two through the years. ~Adrienne~
Yes i was there and went to Hilldene to do my Treasure Hunting and had a great time. And i had the fish and chips. How strange that we were together and never knew it. My email is jennyp51@aol.com. I will have to ask my ministers wife if she knows you or Jane who works at the school.

How lovely that you have been able to stay as a guest in all of these homes.
You have been to my neck of the woods I see....Tennessee, even up in our mountains Gatlinburg ! One day I will retire there, even if it's only in my mind..lol

No i am not in any photo other than my profile. The two blondies are my daughter and g'daughter, the other dark haired lady is a friend. Their fair hair they get from my husband mine was dark until grey took over. I do not recognise you but we must have stood within feet of each other at the service hatch. You may have even handed me my fish and chips. I was the short, wide, short hair and glasses one lol! I also gave a testimony to talking and praying with a girl in a charity shop who was suffering with anxiety/agoraphobia/panic attacks. Look forward to hearing from you.

What a lovely post and tribute to so many families. What a blessing that you have had the opportunity to stay in so many different homes. There's much more of a connection with people when you have actually dwelt together under the same roof. Of course, I also enjoyed seeing all the different styles of architecture.

What charming homes. I can almost see the hospitable hearts just by looking at the exteriors. I particularly love that Connecticut snow scene. So inviting.

I notice what all these homes have in common is a lot of big trees around! You've certainly seen a lot of the USA...places I've never been to yet.
I see you have visited several homes in North Carolina, my home state. My little home is like a shack next to these lovlies. The only thing it seems I share in commons with them is a vast amount of trees and acreage. Thank you for sharing. What blessings the Lord has given you.
