Sunday Morning Church amongst the Bluebells

This is where we had church this morning
We were out in a neighbourhood park at the top of the hill
Looking down on the centre of our town
We were here to prayer walk and pray over the town
Higher up the hill and looking to the right
we have a good view of the London skyline
(which I have posted a number of times before)
and spent time praying over London too
before having more fellowship together drinking coffee in the visitors centre

To be out amongst God's beautiful creation is something I love

Especially at Bluebell time

Oh how I would have loved to been there for your prayer, worship and fellowship! Such a perfect spot for all of that.

How pretty the Bluebell's are. I have never seen them so ample in one place.

Why are the reindeer penned in?

Now THAT is the way to spend a morning of church time! How beautiful! =) Thank you for sharing such inspiration! I am glad you liked the New England photos! Hubby and I have subscribed to "This England" magazine for quite some time, and it keeps us up to date with important events across the pond! =)

I can't think of a finer church experience. Are your bluebells the same as the ones I hear called Texas bluebells? I can search this on my own, Barbara, I was just wondering aloud. LOL!

Guess what? I've been thinking a lot about you lately...;>

I agree! I often think of nature as God's cathedral, and what better place to pray and worship!

What a beautiful place to be with the Lord..the bluebells are so gorgeous and what lovely old trees...I am reading a book my son-in-law gave me...He and several friends are considering Home church...worship much like the first churches...have you heard of this movement among young families?

I love that second photo of the tree trunk and roots. Tree trunks are just about my favourite thing to look at...with the leaves but mostly without....there is a whole lesson in life and character developement there!!!

Lovely bluebells! And a lovely place to prayer walk. Much nicer than prayer walking in LA's inner city, but LA needs prayer too, so we'd pray there.

Blessings to you today!

What a lovely thought. On suynday we had storms so I dont think prayer walking would have been good!
We do miss bluebells here, they are rarely seen.

An ideal place and so beautiful with all the bluebells. I saw them for the first time in Scotland last year in May.

Dear Barbara,
thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind words encouraging me as a newcomer! I think I have overcome my shyness by now...
Church among the bluebells:
It's really a lovely place for a prayer walk! I remeber when I was a child I lived in a small village near Vienna and in Spring we also had prayer walks early in the morning - I loved that special atmosphere...

What better place to worship our Lord than in nature? This is so serene and beautiful. I can almost hear the wind blowing amongst those ancient trees and seeing the reindeer is so wonderful. Thank you for such a lovely glimpse into your worship time.

That is just beautiful!

Now the question of the day is.....how DO I get them (pictures on my blog) to enlarge when double clicked? I assumed they did !?!?

Any ideas? I'll have to play around with that!

Hello Barbara,

I've missed so many of your posts, but I am finally feeling better and getting back to blogging.

I love the bluebell woods ~ a real reminder of home.

What a lovely idea and experience. Although I have often been moved to praise God when surrounded by His beautiful creation, I've never considered including the rest of our church. Must give it some thought! Thanks for sharing it.

Barbara, thanks for recommending Merisi to me. Per chance, I came across her blog recenetly when I googled for a CAFE (sursprise?) in Vienna. So I found out about blogger.com and - here I am!
I love he beautiful landscape around London. About 25 years ago I drove by car from Dover westward and then stayed some days in London. I liked it very much!

Oh I envy your Sunday morning. So much to take in. The beauty of His creation, the heart of a city, and your fellowship with God's people.
