More Beauty

We have just had 3 days of almost non-stop torrential rain (sorry to my blogging friends in the Southern States as I know you long for this) accompanied by high winds from the Arctic Circle. Not nice at this time of year, especially as we were basking in warm sunshine a month ago. I did have some damage in my garden, but nothing too drastic, just broken plants and a little flooding. So most of the roses are still in tight bud, but managed to photo a few this afternoon, plus some other bits.

To think that this plant has saved the lives of many heart patients

Escallonia Apple Blossom

Variegated Photinia

I am awed at the beauty of your garden every time you post your pictures from it. I love the delicate pink roses.

Your garden is thriving from that rain. I have to go out and water my few things that are not drought resistent every morning. As summer moves on and it gets hotter I will have to do so in the evening as well. OH, but I can't wait to post a picture of my hydrangea in another couple of weeks. One of my bushes has 14 buds. Can you believe that? I have never seen one so prolific. I am so excited.

Thanks for you comments on my 100 things. When I wrote it I think I felt excactly the way you described, like it was my life story in 100 sentences. It was actually fun to do. Glad you enjoyed it. Have a great week.

Your roses are fantastic! I can almost smell them through the internet. I discovered you at Becky's and have enjoyed looking around your blog.

I have always been interested in your country. However, the closest I have been able to get to seeing it up close and personal is both airports in London--layovers on a trip to Israel. I still have a trip to UK on my list of things to do.

I'll be back to visit your blog again.

Hi Barbara,
Your roses are so gorgeous! I love english roses. They look so much more alive. :)
Today will be a rainy day here and tomorrow is set to storms, I hope my plants don't suffer too much.
Take Care. x

Barbara, I can't help but be a little envious of all your rain. We've had less than an inch in over 3 months.

Your pictures of your flowers are gorgeous...Roses especially are dear to me. I have a mock orange but it isn't in bloom.
