It takes longer to get home when one is a blogger!! We were driving through the village of Newport in our County of Essex on our way home from a day out recently when it struck me how interesting the houses were. Before I became a blogger I would just drive through these places without a second thought, but not now. Everything becomes posting material.

All lovely houses. But I especially love the third photo. The house siding looks as if it was made using springerle molds. Maybe I just think that because Christmas is starting to grow in my thoughts...but, regardless, it's charming. And looks slightly edible :-).
I can so relate...someone is always waiting while I take photos. I know that I could get clearer pics with a tripod, but I just know that if I started setting up serious equipment, everyone would drive off without me. :-)
If you get a chance, please come see my "garden in the rain." An Appalachian garden...not English, but it was charming this morning.

My husband is used to doing the same thing. Everything is just more interesting to photograph when you are thinking about it for your blog.
Alan is to be commended for his patience. Would he like The Professor to send him a list of pocket volumes of literature he can keep in the car to read while he waits?
I recall always being fascinated by the cottages and their names wherever we went in England.
I'm off to find my England map and look up Newport.

That 'English Tudor' looks like the inside of our home in MT. Pat added foam board to the existing insulation and the look is very similar...LOL!
