Sky High

I love taking photos of skies
but here are some different skies to my usual sunsets

A Virgin balloon flying over

The Millau Bridge in Southern France taken from the air
I have not been over this bridge but the many people I know who have
find it takes a big chunk of time off their journey to the South of France

Double click on this photograph which I downloaded from the second link

The Blue Ridge Parkway - North Carolina
photo from a postcard
One of my Memorable Moments was driving along this parkway by myself
at 1.0 am in the morning
It felt like I was the only person on earth at that moment
part scarey and part exciting

My knees got weak and felt like jelly just looking at the Millau Bridge. I might very well opt for the longer trip, and just take in the country side vista. Very impressive and beautiful though. Thanks.

You have posted quite a variety! And they all seem to be things I've always wanted to do someday....go up in a balloon, drive over that amazing bridge in France (or better yet, walk over it), and see the Blue Ridge mountains!

God sure has created a beautiful world, hasn't he? And you, blessed woman, have seen so much of it!

Oh my goodness Barbara! What an incredible bridge...I've never seen anything quite like it....Part of my childhood was spent in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina ...much like the Blue Ridge mountains..colors are splendid in the fall...Thank you for sharing such beautiful pictures today...Have a very nice weekend...Dee Dee

The bridge in France doesn't look real. I don't think I could cross that bridge, no matter how much time it would save me.

Wow, neat! My husband would love to go up in a hot air ballon one day!

And that is pretty scary being on a road like that at night... you're brave! I can also understand the exciting part because I love to take a drive alone at times, good for thinking :)

P.S. I like your title for this post, very appropriate :)

Oh my goodness, that bridge is stunning!! Thinking about driving on it, however, sort of takes my breath away.

Those are some awesome photos. That bridge is something else! But pales in comparison to Gods glorious colors in North Carolina!

I've been on the Millau Bridge. It is so impressive-what an engineering feat.

Haven't seen the Milleu Bridge but I've seen some wonderful sights from a hot air balloon and also driven along the beautiful Blue Riedge highway, but not in the fall.

Exciting post!
I'm a scaredy cat. I hate heights.
but very thrilling for brave souls.

I do not think that I could handle that bridge. Deary me!!! The colors on the postcard are wonderful. I doubt that you were able to enjoy them at 1 a.m. You will have to repeat the trip during the daylight hours. :)

Hi Barbara,

OK, admittedly I am not one to enjoy going over bridges. It really stretches my faith, but I have to admit that the Millau Bridge seriously freaked me out... I had to go visit the link and see it in vivid detail. And now I am sure that it's something I never hope to drive over! Tee hee. But the Blue Ridge mountains are an altogether different proposition. We drove through them about 4 years ago when the leaves were just like that. What an amazing experience. Wishing you a blessed week! (Did you ever get my blog to work?)

Hugs from across the pond,
Christi

I first saw the Millau Bridge on a BBC programme ~ what a spectacular sight! I hope to visit one day and see it for myself.

Hello Barbara....

What an amazing feat of engineering the Millau bridge is. Hmmm! could I drive across it? I feel faint at the thought of it, so maybe not. Marion
