Spring at Pilgrims Hall

I was prayer walking around Pilgrims Hall recently and thought I would take some photos to add to the many I have already posted on this blog.

I have been asked a number of times if this is my church or what is  my connection  with the place. No, it is not a church as such but if one sees the church as a body of believers and not a building, then  yes, it is a church. It is a Christian retreat and resource centre, a place where one can come and be refreshed or rest awhile, be taught, counselled and a place of safety for the needy and hurting.

There is a lot more to the grounds than we see here but the photos can be seen on other posts.
The wooded areas are full of wild flowers

Looking back towards the main house

A carpet of petals from the Cherry blossom

The old stable block

Pilgrims Way that runs along the side of the property
This was part of the route taken by Pilgrims on their way to Canterbury in days gone by.

Hopefully one day I will post on some of the interesting history of Pilgrims Hall

Pilgrims Way...ohhhh, that must have a lot of interesting history. The grounds there are so lovely and restful. I can well imagine how weary ones could find a lift there. It must be wonderful to walk there and pray as you go. The coral and yellow flower combination makes me smile. Wonder if I can duplicate it in some small way in my own garden.

Such a beautiful spot you have there. I'll be interested to hear the history behind it all.

It would be easy to feel nearer to the Creator there... not at all like the freeway during rush hour. Thanks God for nature. It's where I live (in my mind).
And then the proximity to all that history! Thanks again for the tour.

To me they look like the color of orange sherbet and yellow flowers.
It all looks so peaceful and a wonderful place to walk and pray.

I had wondered where the Hall got its name. Now I know.

Barb, This is so heart warming and absolutely beautiful. What a gorgeous place for a retreat and to get refreshed. A lovely post.

Beautiful!

Barb, would you be so kind as to say a healing prayer for my daughter, Ashley. She'd love to be married and have more children to raise in a christian home. She went through an unwanted divorce 3 years ago.

A fine Christian Husband and devoted daddy for her daughter, Payton would be answered prayer.

Also my son, Austin is in need of healing in his mind.

Thank you. Please lift these two up in prayer and if you have others that would join you in prayer would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
d

Beautiful! The cherry blossoms remind me of a picture I took up in Yorkshire, right about this time of year when we visited!
