Retail Therapy in - Cambridge Pt. 5

A random look at some of the shops as we walk around Cambridge.
You will see that a lot of the windows have interesting
reflections in them

The students use every railing to advertise some activity

Hi Barbara, I sure enjoyed the photos, and I often think about how much I enjoyed my walks in every place I visited there on my 7 trips to England back in the 1980's. And of course, you and Alan were the center of my visits!

I'm praying for good news on your hospital visit. Brian

Good morning Barbara. I'm ready to hop a plane right now and do a little shopping. I especially liked the sweet shop picture. I used to work with a man whose last name of Sims. Close enough in spelling, I suppose, to pass for an across the pond relative.

Oh wow Barbara, the shops and buildings look stunning, ive wanted to visit Cambridge (and Oxford) for quite some time. It must feel wonderful to live in a place with such history, i wonder if the students there appreciate it?

Thanks for commenting on my blog, its interesting that you think we are doing well with our grocery spend. Im hoping to cut it down slightly, but not sure by how much. The VAT increase wont help!

What fun! I got some of the cutest greeting cards in a little store in Cambridge.

A little retail therapy always makes for a good trip.

Yes, the bicycle in the window of Page Fine Jewelers is especially surprising....it almost looks as though it is truly on display and not just a reflection.

ah...retail therapy, no one ever used this phrase here but I heard it all the time a week ago when we were travelling. I think you have to hold on to my purse when I am there, for my sake haha :)

Thank you for this tour Barbara. It is a real treat to see old buildings again, so like home in Oxfordshire.

My grandfather used to be head gardener at Kings College, so I smile every time I see the college : )
