Images of the Week

Saturday's baking. Did some baking for myself and some for church. When house churches meet together some of us are making cakes to sell, either for coffee time or to take home. The proceeds are to help our young people with their mission visit to Uganda in the Summer. Here we have Date Gingerbread and Almond, Cherry and Lemon Loaf. Both equally delicious.
Then there was card making - always someone's birthday.

And last night's Sunset

And my darling Grandchildren who are now beginning to play together now that Bekah is 1.

Hmmm, do I smell something baking? Guess not if it was done last Saturday. Still, my imagination is working overtime.

That sunset looks pretty wonderful. Quite possibly one of the few blessings of that Icelandic volcano.

And the grands! They are so adorable and do seem to be loving and playful with each other.

The house always smells so good when someone is baking delectable things like these!

Oliver and Bekah have grown up so much since we saw them a year ago...and they look so happy together.

My church has a strong Uganda connection....there are so many orphans there due to the AIDS epidemic...

Dear Barbara, What a delicious site! Tasty looking breads.

Your cards are so nice. I think I'd like to make some myself to have on hand.

And your Grandchildren are darling!!! Absolutely gorgeous.

I'm visiting the Wizard Of Oz Museum today. Would you like to come along?

Just catching up here after being without a computer for a spell.

Love the pictures of the grands. They will be such good friends.

You have been a busy lady. The cooking looks delicious and the cards are lovely.

We have our British friends arriving this weekend if the ash permits.

The days pass quickly with much to do - the small details that fill our lives. Service to others, time with family, all good and wonderful things in which you share your heart and love.
I enjoyed this glimpse of everyday life.

Barbara, the breads look so good! I can only imagine how delicious they must have been!

What a beautiful word you left for me about God sometimes calming the storm, and at other times, calming His child. I love that! Those are words worthy of remembering, and I take them to heart!

The pics of your grands are absolutely beautiful! I know you must be so proud of them! They are precious!

Love and blessings to you,

Andrea

Lovely blog Barbara.Love the pics.Good window on your life and I see the importance of your tags at being a great instrument for enticing more visitors with the same interests. And the sharing too. Maybe its one quiet way of softening the rather hard UK culture towards Kingdom stuff. People can hardly slag you off for those beautiful cakes.....well jealousy perhaps!!!!
