Double Congratulations to Janie

Thank you so much for all the E-mails and blog comments containing prayers and best wishes. How appreciated they are by both Janie and myself.

Slightly blurred but proud Grandma during my introduction to dear little Rebekah at the hospital
Oliver enjoying his introduction to his new little sister

My first gift - a play mat made by my own hands - I am not a sewer so this is extra special for me

Whereas making cards is one of my hobbies

And now to my second congratulations of the day. As well as being a new Mum Jane is celebrating her 10th wedding anniversary.

Was this really 10 years ago - yes and the same year that we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary.

Congratulations on the birth of Rebekah! She's just beautiful! How fun to see a picture of you holding her and of Oliver looking so lovingly at his little sister. And, of course, hearty congrats to Janie for a job well done. I must get off to wish her so "in person."

A beautiful time in your lives.
Congratulations and God Bless you all.
I remember the births of my three Grandchildren very well and the first time I held each one, I said a prayer as I touched each one's top of the head.
"May God keep His hand on you all the days of your life."

The photo of Oliver and his baby sister is adorable. A moment to treasure when things might not be so rosy between the two of them in the future.

Congratulations to you all. She's lovely and hasn't she got lovely cheeks, they look rosy.

Bravo to you with your sewing. It will be extra special to her too if you are not a sewer. Maybe you'll continue as it was so successful. I love sewing little dresses but my daughter likes to buy them. It's quite hard to get nice fabric here now, so few shops. That fabric you used looked lovely.

Huge congratulations Barbara. What a cherubic face. :-)

Well done for making the playmat. I'm sure you will feel inspired into making all sorts of special Grandma-made things over the years from special biscuits to helping them make cards themselves.

I wish you and your daughter's family many joy filled years.

I'm so sorry to be late in congratulating your family on the wonderful new arrival.
May she have a joyful life and be enriched by having such a splendid family.
This is thrilling news.
Even if you are not a 'sewer' (?!) the play mat looks great.
I hope you are all not too worn out by all the excitement.
All best wishes

I can hardly believe it was 10 years ago that Janie was married either! It was a lovely day and a beautiful wedding and Janie looked stunning. I also remember being asked by several people whether I was the bride's mother!! Nice to know there's a family resemblance.

I'm sure you're thoroughly enjoying your new little grand-daughter. Congratulations on the playmat - really pretty. (Still no news as to the arrival of my grand-daughter. Hope it won't be too much longer)!
