The artwork collection is incredible! How nice it is that it is still in place. What a job it must be to maintain that type of home. I can see why they needed so many bells!

So much ornateness! That bedroom is amazing, from the carved head and footboard to the art on the walls, which I couldn't quite make out but looked like several similar scenes of angels, horses and chariots...These are the kinds of rooms I know I'd have a wonderful time wandering through with my camera, as did you.

What a lot to look at - fabulous rooms. I don't think I'd sleep well, though, with those angels at the end of the bed.

The proportions of the rooms are amazing as is the ornateness of everything. I was going to say that I liked the panelling on one of the double doors that you show until I saw the dead birds hanging upside down! But that was the style and taste of the owners in those times. In the present there must still be a lot of work going on behind the scenes to keep the place looking immaculate.

Awwww. I don't want to leave the house. I want to live there. Just viewing the art work would keep me busy for weeks.
Thanks for the view, Barbara.

Exquisite home! I went back to the former post to remind myself and saw new things....the laundry room and all those sewing machines... The gentlemen's room is very cozy...makes me wonder what the walls are created from. Of course, I especially enjoyed the yellow room with its curved, intricately designed ceiling. Just lovely and I am sure that the gardens will be beautiful, too. (And I am always happy to have seen a glimpse of you!)
