How Does One Entertain the Grands During Their Summer Stay

Eat Al Fresco in the garden whenever possible

take them to the beach

and on Concorde

to the paddling pool

the adventure playground

swimming in the sea

to play on the bridge of an ancient Destroyer

and row an ancient Lifeboat

not to mention going down into an ancient Submarine

hoping Grandma will get through the hatch

fun on the ancient sailing ship too
and much,  much more
pretty high on the list was riding their scooters up and down the street with children from church and inviting them in to play

What lucky grandchildren you have. Everyone seems to be having lots of fun, including the grandparents! That is marvelous.

Looks like you had a lot of fun with those grandchildren this summer. So nice you could do so much with them.

Your grandkids are getting so big Barbara, I'm sure they had wonderful visits with both of you and will have many happy memories of the summer.

It sounds like a fun filled and active summer holiday for the children - filled with memories for them.

Barbara,
Your grandchildren are beautiful! I remember Oliver as a baby...my how quickly time passes.

Looks like you all had a wonderful time together.

I still think you are the bravest lady!

Blessings, Betty

I can see how much you both enjoy entertaining your grands. I always put aside housework and just entertained mine...looks like you are doing the same. Such wonderful plans you had for them.
Rest will come when they leave.

I think Grandma looks pretty trim and will get through the hatch without difficulty. All that activity! Are you now exhausted? What wonderful memories you created for your sweet grandchildren.

What fun! I'd like to come 'play' at your house!

This all sounds and looks such fun!
I echo Lorrie's comment above.
I hope you are having a well-deserved rest this week.
The schools go back here about now.
I feel very relieved that my teaching days are over.

Oh, I wish mine were able to visit me this summer! They are 20 hours away! I can think of all kinds of things to do! I would have them helping me with all kinds of farm stuff they could learn--like today I picked peaches off my tree. I think they would have loved to help! Looks like you had a lot of fun. Blessings!

It's not fair - no one ever took me on Concorde! What a great set of things you found to do. You'd better start planning next year's soon!

It looks like you kept them very well entertained!

My husband was a submariner. Twice we have toured subs - I don't know how anyone lives in them for 3 months!

Looks like you had a lovely time with your grands, and they are lucky to have grandparents who enjoy their company and take them to so many neat places.
