Changing Seasons in the Park

As this park is virtually at the top of my road I can enjoy the changing seasons almost every day but for April and May this year it has been a matter of finding ones moments in between the rain which has been almost constant at times

We begin with a view of the Grands who are growing fast, seen here on a recent visit with their bikes, and yes, the rain came before we left

and son Peter on Oliver's bike

Oliver loves the cross trainer, taken a few months ago before the trees were in leaf

Rebekah enjoying herself at the same time

and this week the Cow Parsley

and Hawthorn dripping with blossom

The Blackthorn in late February

and the snowballs in early February

and here a local field of Oil Seed Rape taken with my mobile when passing last week - a most beautiful perfume but a great cause of Hayfever

Lovely park and how nice it is so close. Love the pictures of the flowers and the grands! When we lived in England last spring we were enchanted with the rape seed fields -- they were so pretty. We never got close enough to notice whether or not they had an aroma!

How nice to have that lovely park so close by. I enjoying seeing the changes of the seasons there. That is a good idea to take a picture of the same place and view the changes. Your grand children look like they really enjoyed being out. So many rainy days have probably kept them indoors too much. I get like that in the winter time and try to be outside as much as possible on nice days.

What beautiful blooms! I remember the gorgeous Laburnum (?) blooming at this time when we lived there.

The children are really growing up quickly. I think I would enjoy swinging on Rebekah's swing! Oliver looks all boy. I am sure he must be an active one.

Oh my how your son looks like you! I think I can see a resemblance in Oliver also.

A great place to have handy, especially when the grands come for a visit. How much they've grown, Barbara, and how cute they are! Why Rebekah isn't a baby anymore and not a toddler. They do grow up so fast.

Apparently, we've been in the same weather pattern as you've perfectly described ours. I hear from the Pacific Northwest crowd that improvements are on the way...another few days for me and perhaps another week for you. Can't wait!

Still, the rain has been good for the crops and the flowers. Everything looks so lush and green.

All kinds of weather in all times! The fields here are full too with Rapeseed at the moment, its like a lightbulb has been switched on over the field when passing by in the car!The nearest we get to sunflowers I guess!

So much to enjoy! Thanks for a walk about your area with your family. Our lilac bush is finally blooming, and we bought some tomato plants to grow in big pots this year. I am hoping our warm sunny weather will continue(:

Oliver and Rebekah are indeed growing up fast! That blue swinging thing she's in looks like lots of fun...I would have liked that at her age.

So many lovely white blossoms in your park. I remember you took me for a walk around the perimeter in late May and it was very green and pretty.

What a great looking park for kids to play in. And look at all those wonderful white blooms. Just what I need to warm me up a little as we head into winter. But my camillas are out at the moment so there is a little colour in my garden.

I didn't know rapeseed has a scent -- most of the yellow flowers on our hills are wild mustard. What glorious photos of white blooms after white blooms. Here's more to some sunshine and a bit less rain!

The Hawthorn and the Blackthorn are amazingly beautiful and full!
Nice to see how your Spring is coming along there!
Loved looking at your past post as well.
Very blessed to see the Thatched homes....they are harder and harder to come by it seems. We only saw 2 of them the last time we were there.
However we did greatly enjoy seeing these sorts of typical English Villages.

Hi Barbara!

Your grands are sure cute... even that big kid is kinda cute, lol.

I hope the rest of your Spring is a bit dryer so that you may enjoy those beautiful blooms. April showers really do bring May flowers ;)

Thanks for dropping by to visit. I will be working on the living room as the weather here is already in the low 100's!

What a nice family you have and having a park nearby is wonderful too. Looks like they were really enjoying themselves and I am sure you did too.
