School Half-term holiday already for Oliver
and Grandma gets to take care of him for a day
Here he is with the white chocolate and caramel chip cookies that Grandma helped him to make - ready for the oven.
When I was getting everything out he said, "Call me when you need me - no don't do that, call me when you are ready to weigh the chocolate chips,Grandma"
We had a simple but fun day
Having been to the adventure play ground in the park our next call was to the
Vintage Emporium
This is a massive place and only a few photos here but Oliver just loved running around the passages and asking about everything.
The kind of place that would take a day to look at everything and without a 4 year old
The tea room was very in keeping with the atmosphere
Then once back at the house Rebekah was home and saying cheese when she saw my camera!
And here she is having zipped a toy into my camera case

What an eventful day! This is such a wonderful age when anything you do with them is an adventure! And they even pose for pictures! How adorable. You are blessed with very lovely grandchildren.
Are there many such antique/vintage stores there? What incredible finds you must come across; rich in history too!
They are adorable! Children today are always ready for the camera or nearly. The Emporium looks something like our flea market. I'm surprised that Oliver enjoyed it so, but pleasantly surprised.
You did have a wonderful day there! It is always fun to spend time with the grand babes! I love that emporium. I could spend hours just looking around in a place like that.

Oliver is a handsome boy! I loved seeing him in his striped apron. My mother used to bring back those aprons from London, Marks & Spencer I think, and have our names enbroidered on in red!

Memories of times like this with their Grandma...are still special to my kids.She loved to poke around shops like this... and to this day my youngest son loves it still. You English always seem to have a place to have tea. What a nice custom.

Can't wait for my grandaughter to be that age. The vintage room looks like a wonderful 'Aladdin's Cave.'
What memories they will have as they grow up. That store Lools like it would take a week to see. Is the cafe in the store? What a fun place to visit. Be well and Happy.

What a lovely day with the grandchildren!
Cooking is always a winning activity!
Looking back i remember both my grandmothers with enormous affection.
And now we have Henry who we will see on Saturday.
Your grandkids are adorable.. I have 2 granddaughters and they are the light of my life! And would love to that store- looks like they've got lots of cool stuff!

Barbara, I was fascinated with the pictures of the Vintage Emporium.... how I’d love a visit there and spend time rummaging through all that interesting clutter. Love the way the old church pews have been used in the tea room. Wonderful pictures.
