Artist of the Skies

As Blogger won't let me move this at the moment I will have to show it first before the skies. Ten minutes before this picture was taken yesterday we had blue sky and sunshine( a rarity at the moment)and here it is snowing again. Woke up to a covering this morning and it was icy for walking, but out came the sun again and 'dried up all the snow'. Here at any rate, some places have it bad but nothing compared with what we are seeing in Washington DC on the TV news.

I love the ever changing skies and look for them wherever I am. Looking here at some taken from an upstairs bedroom at the back of my house through different months of the year. What beauty to behold.

Beautiful pictures. You have a nice view. I like to do the same and sunsets are my favorite as their color just cannot be matched. I really like the picture of the garden showing the red poinsettia. That is striking.

all in one day!

Wonderful how you juxtaposed the brilliant red poinsettia against all that gray and the snow. Which leads me to ask this question: how long do you allow your poinsettia to go on? Mine is still doing famously and so I hesitate to purposely do it in.

Those sky pictures are wonderful. I am glad that you took them all from the same perspective. No one can paint the way He does!

Dramatic skies all right, the lovely warm red of the poinsettia against the stark cold of the snow and frost is lovely!

Just breathtakingly beautiful!
We have the same predictions here, one minute sunshine, the next snow, most times both...isn't it peculiar ?

Very beautiful skies Barbara. I read about the snow in Kent and was suprised as we had a 5 min fluttering which diasppeared as it landed.

Keep warm. :-)

Beautiful skies painted by the Master Artist! There is so much to admire and wonder at in this world, isn't there?

Love these photos, Barbara! Especially the one with the poinsettia and the snowy garden scene. Your brilliant red against the green and white makes for an unexpected surprise in the photo. Nice job!

Great pictures of your ever changing sky. When I lived in the Sacramento area of California, there were no clouds for about 6+ months every year. Blue sky every day got boring. Here in Texas the sky is very unpredictable and changes every day.

Love you gardens!

Talk to you soon;)

Beautiful, Barbara.
I love looking at the sky in all its infinite variety.
There is a meme "Sky Watch Friday" that lots of bloggers I know enjoy. ( I don't do it since I'm likely to forget or want to post something else....!)
Granparenthood is proving a delight.

I love those garden photos you take with colorful flowers in the foreground on the windowsill! Yes, your back bedroom upstairs is perfect for sunset viewing...I can imagine standing there myself now that I've visited! You've captured some gorgeous skies.

Oh, Barbara, those colors are absolutely incredible!

I can't believe you are getting so much snow this year.

I am reposting this comment because I am again getting the error message. If you get it twice you will know why.

Truly lovely skies, Barbara. And I love the red poinsettia against the grayish snow backdrop. Reminds me of an Edouard Travies bird print.

BTW, we're not too far from Washington, DC, and we're doing just fine. :-) We're snowed in, to be sure, but were blessed with only 13 hours without power. The main issue is that they're just not used to dealing with this much snow here and the highways are still one lane. But we're coming through it! :-)

Love your garden.

We really do have a monstrous amount of snow here in the Northeast. And oh, how I long to have an English garden of my own someday! I suppose I must first learn how to garden in America first, though :)

So enjoyed these images. The sky always suggests the limitlessness of God! Also think of Him as an artist of course. Lots to love in the beauty of the snow we are experiencing here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Stunning shots! We artists try and capture on paper or canvas what can never be imitated, the True Artist's handiwork. Thank you.
