We are in our third week of severe weather with more on the way and no end in sight at the moment. Numerous airports closed, others with cancelled flights, difficult travel with many standed on the A3 road to the coast over night after a large truck knife jacked blocking the road.Thats the downside of this cold spell caused by a front from the Arctic blocking the milder weather from the Atlantic. The upside is that it is extremely pretty and picturesque for those of us who are able to go out and enjoy it. So if you would like to enjoy it with me then we begin with a few scenes from the garden beginning with the above showing the birds enjoying it too.
We have left the house and are making our way to the park virtually at the top of the road.
We have turned left and now do a right into the park just to the right here.
This field used to be a minature golf course where we spent many summer evenings in years gone by. Now it is a wild flower meadow.
We now have a couple more fields to walk around (I like to walk the perimeter)
How well these newly planted Dogwood, in the formal area, contrast with the snow.
Back home and it is snowing again
And still snowing as darkness falls (3.50 pm) although you cannot see it here

That is so beautiful! And having taken that very walk with you in the heat of the green summertime, I'm fascinated by how different it looks covered in white.
I think it is just like a picture postcard !

So pretty. I am glad you are out enjoying the beauty. I love your old gnarly tree in your back yard. So interesting to look at with snow frosting it.
I may be able to post picture like that after today, if the weather report is on the mark. I sometimes feel selfish not having to go out in it and wishing for snow. I usually do go out and when I was working I went regardless. For years I worked 20 miles away and fought the snow and ice. HH always kept my car in good shape and I felt confident. Have had times when I went off the road and that was always a day long job getting out again. Nice post.

It all looks quite different in its blanket of snow. That last photo has a very pretty effect. Stay safe and warm over there!
Your walk was beautiful. It is icy here and no walking can be done unless you have treated walkways to do it on. It remains very cold and more snow is on the way. The icy stuff just added a layer to the accumulation we already had. Take care and stay warm!

It is pretty, lovely photos.
I like being out walking but hate to have to drive. Luckily my two grandchildren were off today so didn't have to trek out for them. Who knows what tomorrow brings! Probably more snow!

Your pictures are beautiful--I think your garden looks fabulous all year 'round. I wish we had brick/stone wall in front of our yards here in America--I think they look nice. I know I haven't commented for a long while (I blame it on being pregnant and having baby #4 and my brain cells all dying ;))--but I've still been reading and enjoying your walks and house/garden tours.

What a wonderful winter wonderland you have in your area! It is bitterly cold here in Wales.... it was - 8 first thing this morning, but we certainly haven’t had as much snow as the south/south east. My daughter in Oxfordshire has suffered badly too.

Wow...you're getting much more snow than we are in Southern Middle Tennessee! But that may be a good thing, as people tend to panic this far south when as much as a half inch of snow hits the ground!
