The Courts Garden, Wiltshire Pt.11

Another garden we visited while in Wiltshire. This garden in Bradford-on-Avon was fairly close to Bath.I did not find it a spectacular garden but it was interesting all the same. I think the part I liked best were the trees in the arboretum, quite a variety and all very mature. (Just a few shown here) The garden shows English country style at it's best.We brought a picnic which we ate in the garden before moving on to the next place and were so glad as the restaurant was very small with quite a queue waiting.

Beautiful gardens, Barbara. I love the last photo as the bushes appear to be leaning over in deep conversation with each other.

Aside from the uncontestable beauty of this place, I think what I like best is the muted tone of these photos. I love how an overcast day can soften the colors.

An interesting garden to visit, I think. there seem to be some very lovely trees there.

Cute little clipped trees in the last photo...I like the way the lean this way and that and look like they may be whispering secrets to each other!

And that huge tree, 6th from bottom, is stunning. I'd have liked to see that one in person.

Really beautiful pictures. I simply love your blog. I've forgotten to answer your question in my blog about the house - yes, it's mine :)

The house glimpsed through the plantings in the garden is magic!

What a lovely spot for a picnic. Are those giant evergreens hemlocks? They are so graceful.

What a beautiful garden. I love those arches and of course the water garden. Water lilies are so pretty.
