Proud Grandma (plus!)

Before the promised Fox Talbot post I could not resist giving you a little peep of my growing granchildren.

Oliver is now 3 and enjoying his first pony ride

And playing on a tractor at Pilgrims Hall

Rebekah is now 4 months and adores her big brother

And now for something very different. We have had some hot days this week and with summer being a washout so far it seemed the beach was the destination of choice for many on Sunday. This is just one corner of one beach on the south coast (Bournemouth) and it was estimated there were 340,000 day visitors there.
I am sitting here just imagining the queues for the toilets, ice-creams, tea etc., not to mention the car parking and traffic. Tea in my garden was a much better option in my estimation even though I love to swim in the sea.

I think I'd prefer to stay home, too!

What sweet grandchildren! They are the cutest ones in England. (And The New Boy is the cutest one in the US) :)

I used to love the beach too, but these days I must just enjoy my huge collection of beach photos. Last few years I have gone north. The grands are just beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Your grandchildren are beautiful! They have so much personality in their little faces - and the joy they show is contagious. I found myself sitting here smiling back at the them on my computer monitor! Now how silly is that? Of course they can't see me but they brought a bit of joy to this grandma's heart. You have a right to be very proud of them! ~Adrienne~

Your grands are sweeties. Little sis will be tagging along after big bro very soon and making an adorable pest of herself.

The beach picture - uhhh, what can I say except, that has got to be the worst vacation moment ever. I'll take my quiet front porch and have a staycation.

Thanks Barbara. I've been looking for that photo. I was there last week but missed the crush fortunately. Amazing!!

Good grief Bournemouth was crowded that day! I bet the wasps were having a field day. :-) It was a lot quieter in Wales for us thankfully.

Oh my what beautiful grandchildren. Oh how special to have a pic of his 1st pony ride. It will be such a happy memory for him. I was about his age when I found horses so fascinating and just hung around near them. Lovely creatures. :-)

Wow, I cannot imagine putting up with those crowds at the beach. Tea in your lovely garden is definitely much more pleasant and enjoyable.

Little Oliver looks very handsome on the pony! And Rebekah is a doll.

Beautiful grandchildren!! And, yes, tea with you in your garden would sound more inviting than the crowds.

Love your blog. Don't have time for one of my own, too busy reading about so many interesting people. Have been to UK twice and now am anglophile, is that the right term? I don't remember seeing too many church goers but breathtaking churches. Beautiful grandchildren.

Children and grandchildren are indeed an heritage from the Lord...

Grandkids and days at the beach -
the first brought a smile to my face, congratulations, they are the sweetest kids imaginable, and a bit of worry about the fate of that crowd in the scene at the beach. Mamma mia! :-)
