Mystery Solved and Blogging News

Ok! Mystery solved. Here am I with Willow of Willow's Cottage who is in England and staying with me at my house for a week while she is in the London area. Today Alan and Idrove around and showed Willow and her husband some of the lovely villages in my neck of the woods. I took over 100 photos, and will be showing many of them soon. (I think I had better put the Scotney Castle ones on the back burner for a while.)
This is bunny knitted by Willow for my Grandson Oliver

And what a lovely thought, an Elizabeth Goudge book - Gentian Hill
I have not yet sampled the chocolates which are apparently the best in America

Willow also brought over this lovely gift from Sara of Much Ado About Something
It is hand written and illustrated by Sara and depects Jeremiah 29: 11-13
"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
You will call to me....and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart"

As for the rest of the 'blogging news' I have been asked if photos of mine can be used, first for a Parish magazine and secondly for an actor's website.
Never a dull moment in the blogging world.

I love the photos... what a sweet friend to knit such a precious bunny for Oliver... and also to think of you by bringing an E. Goudge book. And the picture she brought that Sara did is wonderful... one of the first verses I memorized over 24 years ago. Have a wonderful time w/ Willow!

Love,
Christi

Isn't it nice to be found in the blogging world, not only by nice people with interests like ours, but by professional types who want to do business with us. Kind of exciting.

Hello Barbara.....

I am so delighted that you and Willow have met up..... Meeting up with a blogging friend is such a thrill as I well know from my recent visit to US to see Betty. The joys of blogging never cease to amaze me. Have fun and I look forward to hearing all about it.

Barbara, when you have a moment please pop over to my blog...... I have requested prayers for Betty’s husband Edward who had surgery on Monday to remove clots from his leg..... Its a very anxious time for the family. Love - Marion

Hello! I found you through Willow's blog. Your pictures are beautiful. How wonderful that you and Willow were able to connect in person. I have missed Willow though.Could you please let her know that the Boston Celtics won the NBA champioship last night ! In case she hadn't heard! It was a fabulous game - especially if you are a Celtic's fan ;) Enjoy your visit!

How wonderful to meet a blogging friend!

Just been catching up. I love the way your garden had proper edges for the borders- there are times here when I barely have a lawn thanks to 3 dogs. Aren't the roses doing well this year?

I remember Elizabeth Goudge -didn't she write "Little White Horse" a book from my childhood?

I was sitting here thinking about England and you two enjoying some time to visit and connect.
Have a great week and we will all look forward to each of you showing us your photos!!
What chocolate did she bring you? See's? Or is there something better? :)) Tell Willow that her brother got a hand-picked box of See's for Fathers Day. :)

Flower said...

Wonderful!! There are other chocolates but Sees is just so nice!! We do like Hershey bars too!
LilliAnne and I just walked out to the rosesgarden where the strawberry plants are and found some berries fresh from the vine!! LA's face tells the story!!
You two are so fortunate to be having these days together!!

Oh isn't it so fun to meet some one like this? I met Jill last year .. who I met through blogging. Her flight was a little shorter .. she didn't have to cross the pound but the length of one country at least. I'm so glad you had a nice time together.
