A Take on Tea

Just had to visit the Whittards tea shop on The Strand
to purchase a number of different speciality teas before driving home after a full day walking in the city

I loved the broad striped teapots but already having enough teapots
I bought some striped mugs instead

Some 400 plus holiday photos to come
Not all at once though!

  1. That was fun, thanks for letting us visit the tea shop with you. I enjoyed taking a close look at all the ceramics and picking out favorites. The striped pots and mugs you mention are very handsome. I love the colors. But my personal favorites are in the last photo, the blue and white teapot and mugs, I think. The Campbell's shortbread tins are calling my name too!

  4. Dear Barb.
Enjoyed your post today. It would be wonderful to tour this shop in person. The open teacups with the different teas would be so handy for people like me.

This past week-end I was in Lawrence, Kansas where they sell English foods, teas, gift items, etc.

    Thought of you!
    God bless,
    d

  5. Look at all those delicious teas lined up in their tins. And the mugs. And teapots. This would be a shop I'd enjoy browsing in.

  6. I am dull beyond dull and stick to PG TIPS, but really love the idea of lots of varieties to choose from.
I was a bit discouraged at Heathrow to note that many of the
souvenirs of Britain/England were MADE IN CHINA!

This looks a super gift shop.

  7. What a great visit to the tea shop. I loved the photo of the teacups filled with dry tea leaves. I'm sure it was a visual and sensual feast. I remember passing the shop but we didn't pop in, just gazed at the goodies in the shop window.

  8. It's hard to resist pretty tea things, but you did admirably with only some mugs!

  9. We must be on the same wavelength as you posted about two things most at the forefront of my mind - 1. I'm out of my favorite tea (Lapsang Suchong) and 2. I need a new teapot.

Tomorrow, both of these "issues" will be dealt with in one fell swoop. Thank you for the lovely post.

  13. I sure wish we had tea shops on this side of the pond. I also love different flavors of herbal teas but even they are hard to find. I could order them online but the shipping is outrageous.
